Stavros has been an active instructor at maelstrøm for many years, centrally involved in delivery of the core programs of the school.  Having originally started with Guro  Loki Jorgenson, he has trained in seminars under Grand Tuhon  Leo T. Gaje and Tuhon  Philip Gelinas.

Stavros is now resident in Calgary, Alberta.

Stavros has been involved in the martial arts for over 20 years. As a young man he obtained a black belt in ITF Tae Kwon-Do and went on to study a variety of differing art forms such as hapkido, boxing, pencak silat, panantukan and Dog Brothers Martial Arts.

Stavros began his studies in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali under Guro Loki Jorgenson of maelstrom Martial Arts in early 2004 and has since obtained the ranking of Guro. Although, an active instructor within the system, he continues to expand his martial knowledge both as an instructor and a student.
