Myanmar is currently experiencing some of the worst flooding it has seen in decades, due to a particularly heavy monsoon season in conjunction with Cyclone Komen. Over a hundred people have died in the floods which have also destroyed 1.2 million acres of rice fields and displaced over 300,000 people.

Guro Brett Simms is working with Global Medic, a group which provides emergency relief in places dealing with natural disasters. They are currently distributing aid and rainfresh purifiers that will allow access to safe drinking water during the flooding and over the next year and well as basic hygiene supplies for those affected by the floods.
