On Sat., June 20, Guro Louie Lindo has offered his teaching slot for an informal 4-hour workshop with two visiting instructors from the Bahala Na Multi-Style Escrima school in Stockton, California. Guros Terry Joven and Noel Tomboc will share the teachings of various Grandmasters from the Stockton area, including GM Leo Giron, Dexter Labanog, Tony Somera, and Dentoy Revillar, incorporating Original Giron Escrima (OGE) and Serrada/Largo-Mano/Decuerdas (SLD). There are 20 styles within Bahala Na alone, and the Multi-Style system has evolved incredibly. This workshop will focus on effective striking and ranges so bring hand/forearm guards and head gear if you have it.
This date will coincide with GM Tom DyTang’s Friday night Kalis Ilustrisimo Orihinal Repeticion class providing the rare opportunity to train in two very different FMA systems on the same weekend! It will be the first time in Canada for the Bahala Na Multi-Style instructors.
