Now you have another reason to go to Indonesia – stick fighting! Not only is Pekiti-Tirsia alive and well in places like Bandung, there are major Filipino fighting arts schools such as those hosting this major annual event.
In association with the Combined Martial Arts Academy (CMAA) (https://www.facebook.com/thecmaa/), the Jakarta Convention Centre in Indonesia will host the GOIFEX Stick Fighting Open Challenge on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2019. CMAA and its highly skilled leadership is well known to maelstrom and well appreciated for its high calibre of training.
The event is open to all stick fighters, men, women, and juniors wishing to compete in single and double stick divisions, “Kulata”, knife fighting and forms divisions. It is the wish of the CMAA and the GOIFEX to host an event enabling competitors from numerous associations, federations and backgrounds to come together in the spirit of good sportsmanship to compete at the highest international level championship forum.
