Last Saturday was the 6th annual Beat the Crap out of Cancer event. This was the first year this event was held in Vancouver, bringing martial artists from all over the lower mainland and Vancouver Island together to help raise money for a great cause. Across the five cities that this event took place in, we managed to raise (along with some pretty decent bruises and welts) about 20,000 in funds for cancer research!
Thanks to Tactix gym for letting us use the space for the event, to all those who donated gifts for prizes and all the great folks who volunteered the time to set up, and organize sign in. Thanks to Vancouver Search and Rescue for being available for first aid.Shout out to all the participants and folks came by to watch and support the event. And thanks to Brett for organizing and and putting this event together!
