Majapahit was an empire of 98 trib\u00adu\u00adtaries, stretch\u00ading from Suma\u00adtra to New Guinea, con\u00adsist\u00ading of present day Indone\u00adsia, Sin\u00adga\u00adpore, Malaysia, Brunei, south\u00adern Thai\u00adland, the Philip\u00adpines, and East Timor, although the true nature of Majapahit sphere of influ\u00adence is still the sub\u00adject of stud\u00adies among historians.<\/p>\n<p>Hav\u00ading traders in con\u00adtact with Thai\u00adland and the Philip\u00adpines might also explain where the Thai Mar\u00adtial Art of KRABI KRABONG, the fore\u00adrun\u00adner of the mod\u00adern day Kick Box\u00ading ring art of Muay Thai, got it\u2019s FMA like Sinawali dou\u00adble sword weav\u00ading pat\u00adtern from. Like all of Asia, the Majapahit Empire was also very heav\u00adily influ\u00adenced by China. The Indone\u00adsian Mar\u00adtial Art of Kun\u00adtao is a blend of the hand tech\u00adniques of South\u00adern Kung Fu and the foot\u00adwork of\u00a0Silat.<\/p>\n<p>In weaponry, the Majapahit expan\u00adsion is believed to be respon\u00adsi\u00adble for the wide\u00adspread use of the <em>kris <\/em>wavy dagger\/sword in South\u00adeast Asia; from Java, Bali, Suma\u00adtra, Malaysia, Brunei, South\u00adern Thai\u00adland, to the Philip\u00adpines.
