Tuhon Gelinas started his martial arts training in 1967, at age of 14, in a Japanese karate style called Chito Ryo. In the past 50 years, he has been learning and training in more than 9 disciplines, including, but not limited to, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Capoeira, Kali, Muay Thai, Judo and Silat. He is the top ranking student of Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje in Pekiti Tirsia Kali system, a full instructor in JKD and Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Dan Inosanto, as well as one of the founding Dog Brothers. He owns and runs the Gelinas Academy of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) in Montreal, Quebec.
