Pinoy Blacksmith in History’s Blade-making Competition: Article

“New Jersey-based blacksmith Ryu Lim, a contestant on History Channel’s blade-making competition series “Forged in Fire”, said he was “originally from a small humble village located at the foot of a sleeping volcano in one of the northern islands of the Philippines.”

“I’ve been helping around at the local smithies since I was 8 years old, moving charcoal and working the bellows. I was first permitted to pick up a hammer at around the age of 9 and forged my first sword from mild steel at the age of 10,” Lim recalled in a recent interview”
